OUR PROGRAM

Life as a Project™ — Resident Support Framework

At Isabel Hope Harbor, residents participate in Life as a Project™, a non-clinical, recovery-oriented life-skills framework integrated into daily living. This approach supports residents in building stability, responsibility, and independence within a structured, sober environment — including men transitioning from military service to civilian life.

Life as a Project™ is not therapy or treatment. It is a practical, real-life framework aligned with TROHN / NARR social-model recovery principles, emphasizing personal accountability, structure, and community support.

For many — including Veterans — stability is rebuilt through routine, purpose, and shared responsibility.

Core Focus Areas

🧭 Personal Responsibility & Goal Setting
Residents develop clear, mission-focused short-term goals and learn to approach life with intention, accountability, and ownership.

💼 Life Skills & Financial Stability
Emphasis on budgeting, employment readiness, daily structure, and time management to support long-term independence and reintegration.

💻 Computer & Digital Literacy
Support with job applications, communication, online services, and basic technology use for real-world functioning.

🤝 Peer Accountability & Community Living
Shared expectations, mutual respect, and peer-supported community — often experienced as brotherhood and shared mission — strengthen stability and recovery capital.

📅 Structure, Routine & Consistency
Daily expectations and weekly accountability check-ins help residents develop habits that support long-term independence and life stability.

Life as a Project™ is embedded into the residential experience and supports each resident’s transition toward stable housing, employment, and self-sufficiency.
